Effective immediately, Dr Nadia Sugiarto will bulk bill the following healthcare procedures:
- Insertion and removal of Mirena (IUD)
- Insertion of Implanon
Mirena is a small, T-shaped intrauterine device (IUD) that provides long-term contraception for up to eight years in Australia. It releases a low dose of hormone directly into the uterus to prevent pregnancy and can also help reduce heavy menstrual bleeding and period pain. Once removed, fertility usually returns quickly.
Implanon is a small, flexible contraceptive rod placed just under the skin of the upper arm. It steadily releases a hormone called etonogestrel to prevent pregnancy for up to three years. It is a convenient and reversible option for women who prefer not to use daily contraception, and fertility typically returns soon after removal.
Pre‑procedure consultation fee
To discuss these procedures, a pre‑procedure consultation is required before booking. This is a 30‑minute appointment with a fee of $149, with a current Medicare rebate of $84.90 (out‑of‑pocket cost applies). Fees apply to this consultation visit only; the procedures themselves are bulk billed.
You can view the consultation fees on Dr Sugiarto’s profile or contact our reception on (07) 3806 0077 and leave a message. Our reception team will return your call promptly.
